ABOUT THE TRIP

GEORGIA with mate is a perfectly thought-out route without unnecessary transfers, authentic gastronomic experiences with tastings, incredible views from the peaks of Kazbegi to the streets of Tbilisi, as well as the comfortable atmosphere of a small group, where everyone can feel the spirit of this hospitable country. Georgia is waiting for you! 

IMPORTANT: the tour program may change depending on weather conditions, the condition of the participants, and other circumstances at the discretion of the tour guide.

OUR itinerary

DAY 1. Gamarjoba, Georgia! Arrival in Tbilisi

We meet at Tbilisi airport. After transfer to the hotel and a short rest, we will begin our acquaintance with the city. We will visit the Metekhi temple, which rises above the Kura River, from where a panoramic view of the historical center opens. We will walk through the Abanotubani district with its famous sulfur baths, which will give the atmosphere of a real East. Then we will climb to the Narikala fortress, the ancient citadel of Tbilisi, which has preserved a thousand-year history. We will end the evening with a traditional dinner in an atmospheric restaurant over a glass of red Georgian wine.

DAY 2. Getting to know Tbilisi - the capital of Georgia

This day is dedicated to a deeper acquaintance with the capital of Georgia. We will start it with a visit to the modern district of Rike, where the famous Bridge of Peace is located - a futuristic structure that has become a symbol of the new Tbilisi. Then - a walk along Rustaveli Avenue, the central street of the city, where the luxurious Opera House and ancient mansions are located. After lunch, we will visit Mtatsminda Park, take the funicular to the observation deck, from where a panoramic view of the entire city opens. In the evening - dinner in a traditional restaurant with local dishes and Georgian toasts.

DAY 3. On the shoulders of wide mountains: Kazbegi and Gudauri

After breakfast, we set off along the Georgian Military Road, one of the most beautiful routes in the Caucasus. We will stop at the Zhinval Reservoir, a turquoise lake surrounded by dense forests. We will visit the Ananuri Fortress, an ancient castle with stone towers that once controlled this strategic route. Then we will go to the Arch of Friendship of Peoples, an observation deck with fantastic views of the mountains. In Kazbegi, we will climb to the Gergeti Temple, one of the most picturesque places in Georgia with a view of the snow-capped Kazbek. We will have lunch at a restaurant with local dishes, and in the evening we will stay in a hotel among the mountains.

DAY 4. A day in the mountains, the majesty of the Caucasus and the Truso Valley

This day will give you a real connection with nature. After breakfast we will go to the Truso Valley - a lost world with mineral springs, colorful mountain slopes and medieval towers. We will walk along mountain rivers and picturesque canyons, where you can meet local shepherds and herds of wild horses. We will have a picnic in nature, enjoying the silence and grandeur of the Caucasus. In the evening we will return to our hotel in Kazbegi

DAY 5. Juta Valley, Gveletski Waterfall and return to Tbilisi

Breakfast at the hotel, then we head to the Juta Valley - a high-altitude corner of Georgia at an altitude of 2200 m, surrounded by the majestic peaks of Chauhi. We will make an easy trek through alpine meadows, where you can enjoy the silence of the mountains and watch wild horses. After that, we will visit another natural gem - Gveletski waterfalls, hidden among the rocks and known for their powerful beauty. After lunch, we return to Tbilisi, where you will have a free evening for walks or relaxation.

DAY 6. Kakheti – the land of wine and love

Breakfast at the hotel, then we head to Kakheti - the heart of Georgian winemaking. First we will visit the Bodbe Monastery, where the relics of Saint Nino are kept. After that we will head to Sighnaghi - the city of love with red roofs, narrow streets and panoramic views of the Alazani Valley. Next we will have a wine tasting at a winery, where they still use the ancient qvevri technology. Lunch in a traditional Georgian courtyard, where we will taste khinkali. Return to Tbilisi.

DAY 7. Free day, return home

After breakfast, transfer to the airport and on to your next travels, friends! If you have an evening flight, then free time for souvenir shopping and a final walk around charming Tbilisi.

We will live in apartments/hotels of this format. Accommodation for 2 people per room.

We travel in a rented car, which gives us even more freedom in creating the perfect trip, our guide will drive.

FAQ

Click on the “book” button, fill out the form, and we will contact you to complete the booking. 

A place on the trip is reserved with a deposit of €400 (PayPal) and a photo of your international passport will also be required. After that, we will add you to the group. The remaining part of the amount must be paid no later than 21 days before the start of the trip.

Our groups consist of 4-8 people plus a guide. The average age of participants is 18-35 years. We have no age restrictions, the main thing is that you like walking.

In case of refusal/cancellation of the trip from your side, a 100% refund is possible if a replacement is found for your place at the full price. In all other cases, the cost of the trip is non-refundable.

In case of cancellation of the trip by the organizers, the deposit paid will be refunded in 100%. The refund takes up to 10 business days.

We have an age restriction of 18+ for the comfort of all participants.
