ABOUT THE TRIP

Patagonia is a journey to the edge of the world. We will start in Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, where we will meet penguins on Martillo Island and travel through the Beagle Channel, then head to El Calafate to see the majestic Perito Moreno Glacier, then to El Chalten, the heart of trekking, where we will conquer the trails to the Torre and de los Tres lagoons with views of the legendary Fitz Roy peak, and finally to Torres del Paine National Park in Chile, with its emerald lakes, pinnacles and crystal waterfalls.

IMPORTANT: the tour program may change depending on weather conditions, the condition of the participants, and other circumstances at the discretion of the tour guide.

OUR itinerary

DAY 1. Arrival in Santiago, acclimatization and introduction

The first day of the trip is organizational: all participants fly to Santiago, transfer from the airport and check into the hotel. There is time to rest after the road or take a leisurely walk. Dinner, getting acquainted, acclimatization.

DAY 2. Arrival in Ushuaia, the edge of the world: Tierra del Fuego

In the morning, transfer to the airport and flight to Ushuaia. After a little rest from the road, we will begin our immersion in the nature of Tierra del Fuego National Park - the only one in Argentina with access to the ocean. We will walk through the lenga forests, see peat bogs, lagoons and fjords. Then - kayaking on Lake Acigami (optional) among the mirror water and mountains. In the evening - dinner with a view of the sunset over the canal.

DAY 3. Martillo Penguin Island and flight to El Calafate

Today we have a sea adventure through the Beagle Channel. On a catamaran we will see colonies of sea lions, cormorants and the Les Éclaireurs Lighthouse. The highlight is landing on Martillo Island, where we will walk among hundreds of penguins in the wild. After lunch at the historic Harberton Ranch, transfer to the airport and evening flight to El Calafate, from where we will begin our acquaintance with the glacial part of Patagonia.

DAY 4. Perito Moreno Glacier

We will get acquainted with one of the greatest glaciers in the world - Perito Moreno. We will walk along special platforms with panoramic views, take a boat ride to its front wall and go on a short ice-trekking on the ice itself. At the end of the day - a glass of whiskey with ice that is over 1000 years old and dinner with a view of the turquoise lake Argentino.

DAY 5. El Chalten: Horseback riding

Today, a scenic transfer to El Chalten awaits you, along Lake Viedma, with a view of the Fitz Roy massif. After settling in, an easy walk or horseback tour to the Capri Lagoon or the Rio de las Vueltas Valley. This is a good opportunity to relax before the real treks. El Chalten is a small town with an atmosphere of freedom, beloved by climbers and travelers from all over the world.

DAY 6. Trek to Laguna de los Tres: the main postcard of Patagonia

Today is one of the most iconic days of the tour: the trek to Laguna de los Tres at the foot of Fitz Roy. It is a physically demanding but incredibly rewarding route - with lakes, forests, mountain streams and a final climb to a glacial lagoon. It is from here that the most famous view of the Fitz Roy massif opens, which has become a symbol of the Patagonia brand. The evening is for relaxation and a delicious dinner.

DAY 7. Trek to Torre Lagoon and Condors

The second day of trekking will give you new experiences - you will go to the Torre lagoon, from where you will have a view of the inaccessible Cerro Torre mountain. This route is less difficult, but no less picturesque. On the way, you will often come across Andean condors - a symbol of Patagonia. We will have a picnic near the glacial lagoon with icebergs. In the evening - time to recover and have a cozy evening in the town.

DAY 8. Return to El Calafate and free day

After active tracks — transfer back to El Calafate. On the way — photo stop near lakes and mountains. After settling in — free time: walking around the city, shopping in local artisans' shops, or additional activities — kayaking, SUP or relaxation in the spa. This is an easy day before the new chapter of the journey — the Chilean part of Patagonia.

DAY 9. Border crossing, Milodon Cave and Puerto Natales

Today we cross the border with Chile and head to Puerto Natales. On the way, we stop at the legendary Milodon Cave, where the remains of a giant prehistoric sloth were found. This is an impressive natural formation with interesting exhibits. In the evening, we walk along the Puerto Natales promenade and have dinner overlooking the Ultima Esperanza fjord.

DAY 10. Torres del Paine: Trek to Base Torres

After breakfast, transfer to Torres del Paine Park, one of the most famous natural attractions in South America. We will trek to Torres Base Camp - to the foot of three giant granite towers that have become a symbol of Chilean Patagonia. The route takes about 8 hours and leads through forests, rivers, waterfalls and a steep final climb to the turquoise lagoon near the towers. Picnic and return to the lodge.

DAY 11. Transfer to Punta Arenas and departure

The final day of our adventure. In the morning, transfer to Punta Arenas (~3 hours), from where we will fly to Santiago. See you on your next trip, friends!
