ABOUT THE TRIP
The Faroe Islands are an archipelago of 18 islands that are part of Denmark. There are almost twice as many sheep here as local residents, and it was with their help that the local streets were filmed for Google Maps. The climate on the islands is maritime, so there are no frosts or heat here. The nature of the islands is untouched, and the rhythm of life here is calmer than in other Scandinavian countries, not to mention the impressive emerald landscapes and the ocean.
IMPORTANT: the tour program may change depending on weather conditions, the condition of the participants, and other circumstances at the discretion of the tour guide.

OUR ITINERARY
DAY 1. Hello Faroe Islands! Lake above the ocean, Múlafossur waterfall
We meet at the airport, rent a car and immediately set off to explore the magical Faroe Islands!
Let's start our acquaintance with the most famous landscape in the archipelago, namely Trælanípa. Also known as the "lake above the ocean", this place surprises and impresses everyone who has been here at least once, because it gives the impression that the body of water seems to be hanging above the ocean. It's up to you to decide whether this is just an optical illusion or a real miracle of nature. The hike is very easy and suitable for everyone.
Our next stop is the famous village of Gásadalur. We will go for a walk before reaching the Múlafossur waterfall, which falls directly into the ocean. There will be several photo stops along the route, including the village of Bøur, which offers a view of the sharp islet of Tindhólmur.
Towards evening we will go to check into our cozy apartments.

DAY 2. Mykines Island
After breakfast, we take a boat trip to the westernmost Faroe Island, Mykines, which is home to many bird species, including colonies of puffins.
So in the morning we take the ferry from Sørvagur to Mykines to spend the whole day on the island. The ferry takes about 30-40 minutes, and on the way we will see the impressive landscapes of the Faroe Islands, but from the ocean side.
We will go for a walk west from the settlement of Mychines to the small rocky islet of Mychinesholmur, 1 km long, which is the westernmost point of the archipelago, we will reach the lighthouse (if the route is opened, because in 2024 it was not working due to a landslide).
The island's population is only 15 people, but even here there is a small cafe where you can drink warm cocoa and relax after haiku, which is what we will do :)
DAY 3. Kalsoy Island, Kallur Lighthouse
The day begins in Klaksvík, the second largest city in the Faroe Islands. In Klaksvík we take a ferry to the island of Kalsoy. Interestingly, it was on Kalsoy that the James Bond film No Time to Die was filmed.
Arriving in the town of Syðradalur, we head to the northernmost village to go on a hike to the Kallur lighthouse with spectacular views all around.
After that, it's time to explore the picturesque villages, there aren't many of them here - only 4. Towards evening, we'll reach Mikladalur, where we'll take a walk and see the famous "seal woman" statue before the ferry heads back to Klaksvík.
DAY 4. The towns of Saksun, Tjørnuvík, Gjogv and the largest waterfall in the Faroe Islands - Fossá
The first town we will visit today is Saksun, a cozy place where you can take a walk, take breathtaking photos, and enjoy the impressive nature around you.
Next, we will visit Tjørnuvík, famous for its picturesque beach "risin og kellingin" (the giant and the witch). These majestic rocks tell a fascinating legend about their origin, which amazes the imagination. On the way from Tjørnuvík to Gjogv, we will stop at the impressive Fossá waterfall, the largest in the Faroe Islands, which will certainly amaze you with its power and beauty.
Upon arrival in Gjógv, which means “gorge”, we will have a picnic. Imagine – lunch by a huge gorge, an unforgettable experience! After that, we will walk through the village and enjoy the views from the edge of the gorge. Then we will head to Eiðisskarð, from where an even more breathtaking view of the “giant and the witch” opens.
At the end of the day, we will return home along a scenic mountain road, where we will see the only prison in the Faroe Islands and enjoy incredible views from Norddalskárd to the island of Koltur.
DAY 5. The southernmost island of the Faroe Islands - Suvoroi
After breakfast, we head to the capital to take a ferry to the southernmost island of Suvoroi (the ferry crossing takes about 2 hours). We will begin our acquaintance with the southernmost island from the southernmost point – the Akraberg lighthouse. Our next stop is the town of Fámjin. Interestingly, the city church houses the first version of the Faroese flag, made by a local group of students who advocated for the independence of the islands.
From the southernmost point of the island we will climb to the northernmost point – the town of Sandvik. After that we will go on a hike to Rituskor. Along the way we will have the opportunity to cross the famous bridge to Rituskor to see amazing ocean views and bird life.
After the haiku, we will head to Froðba. As soon as we leave the town of Tvøroyri, we will see a series of rectangular basalt columns along the left side of the road. This is the same type of formation that formed the Giant's Causeway in Ireland.

DAY 6. The capital of Torshavn, returning home
Our final day in the Faroe Islands will be spent in the capital. We will stroll through the historic district of Tinganes. With its red wooden buildings and grass roofs, this is the oldest part of the city, where the Faroese government is located. The winding streets with traditional Faroese architecture are extremely photogenic and cozy.
After exploring the old town, we will still have time to enjoy the atmosphere of the surrounding marina. Here, local fishermen bring in their daily catch, and the lively atmosphere creates the perfect backdrop for a light morning meal in one of the nearby cafes. If you wish, you can enjoy freshly caught fish or Scandinavian pastries here, watching the boats gently sway in the harbor - it will be a wonderful end to our trip.
Transfer to the airport and see you on your next travels, friends!
